

She’s being warned to stay away from Brendan, if only she could. All of this could just be another day in high school, if it wasn’t for the strange dreams that Emma is having or the street lamps that keep burning out over her head. No that would be the gorgeous and aloof Brendan Salinger who bails her out with Kristin and then ignores her. It may have to do with Anthony’s immediate interest in her but he’s not who she wishes were interested in her.

Emma doesn’t understand the instant hatred she gets from Kristin. Not surprisingly, she isn’t welcomed with open arms. With only her younger cousin as a friend, she faces the school year. She doesn’t want to explain any of this to the rich and fashion obsessed students of Vincent Academy. The car accident was the last straw though and she moves to New York to live with her aunt.

With both her twin brother and her mother dead, Emma was left to deal with her step-father. Having just arrived in New York from Keansburg New Jersey, Emma is still scared by the car accident with her all too drunk step-father. Emma is heading into her junior year at an expensive private school on the New York’s Upper East Side.
